Story Massage
Story Massage is a fun, easy to learn, and interactive way of combining the creativity of story telling with the benefits of massage. It involves the use of simple movements (children are clothed), linked to words that help tell a story.
Story Massage has a flexible approach as it can be shared as a child to child or parent to child activity. Everyone can join in, whatever age or ability and is suitable for children and adults. At present it is used worldwide in a variety of settings including home, school, after-school clubs, family centres, hospices and special schools.
Story Massage will show you how to help children feel calmer and more focused, and encourage better communication and engagement.

"Christy introduced me to Story Massage and I have used it with the children in my Reception class. I was so pleased and surprised that the children enjoyed learning the different movements and everyone wanted to join in. The children love to sit in a circle while I tell a story. They use the massage movements on each other, taking it quite seriously whilst obviously having fun. I have found it to be a very soothing and bonding activity that I can adapt to lots of stories.
